The Newbe Blogger

So this is my very first post. I have refrained from having a blog for almost a year now... I've read many blogs, enjoyed them and kept up on several people's lives. I never thought that I should have one. I am single and a student, working/studying the majority of my time. Pretty boring, huh? Then I think about the random, psycho, absurd and crazy "single life" experiences that happen to me. Most of my stories sound made up; many who know me can attest they are true :) This first post is going to be dedicated to the two years of my salsa dancing rollercoaster/career.......

So I thought salsa would come easy to me the first time I tried, given that I had "dance experience". Boy was I wrong. Weird hip and torso movements do not come with jazz, ballet and tap dance experience..... So lets just say I looked like the biggest idiot ever. Because of these awkward feelings as a "dancer", I was determined to learn this unique style of dance. Not only did I want to learn, but I wanted to be good. I use to watch the "salsa club queen" named Sheena... now she was good, and I wanted to be like her. Then I met Luis------

Luis is from Guatemala. When I danced with him I felt comfortable and we danced well together. I learned a lot of moves from him, and being a new dancer I enforced following "the beat" (he had a hard time with that). He is the nicest guy ever, but
